GeekCon Halloween card expo at MITEC: prizes worth up to RM50,000

30 October to 1 November: three days for Pokémon and One Piece collectors, plus families with kids.

The top half is a flat illustration: a trading-card expo in an exhibition hall. On the left a long table under a deep purple cloth holds open card binders with blank card sleeves and a lit jack-o-lantern at the corner. On the right a cosplayer in a pointed witch hat and star-patterned purple cape stands with her back to us; in the middle an adult walks down the aisle holding the hand of a small child in a little cape. All figures are seen from behind with no visible faces. Paper bats and pumpkin lanterns hang from the ceiling, purple and orange booth drapes line both sides, and warm light comes from the far end of the hall. A gold right-angle bracket sits in each top corner. The lower half is a warm white text band above a dark brown brand bar. Text: a rounded label at the top reads "Event · Kuala Lumpur"; two large lines read "Three days of cards" and "cosplay welcome"; a gold-brown line below reads "MITEC · 30 Oct – 1 Nov"; the bottom bar reads "Every corner, everywhere.", "HiGo Corner Journal" and "higo.shop".

Good to know

  • Parking is cashless only, and card payments carry a 10% service provider fee.
  • After buying online, collect your wristband at the Registration Counter. Keep it on and don't tear it off, as you need it to leave and re-enter on the same day. Per the ticket terms, tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable; the event page's FAQ adds that they can't be rescheduled once issued. Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
  • Still unknown: whether you can buy tickets at the door, when online sales close, which booths will be there, what time the stage programme starts, and when the 25% discount ends.
