Jaclyn Victor with the MPO, 17 October 2026 at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS: one performance, 920 seats, from RM249
After three turns on stage as a guest, Jaclyn Victor gets the whole evening with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, one performance only, in a hall of 920 seats; not one song title has been announced, and the set list going around comes from the press.

Official schedule: 17 October 2026. Dates are from the organiser's announcement. We cannot confirm that the event is running on any particular day.
This time Jaclyn Victor isn't a guest on someone else's bill — the official line-up is three names long, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Ahmad Muriz Che Rose conducting, and Jaclyn Victor on vocals — and the orchestra bills the night as a celebration of two decades of her music. One performance is scheduled: 20:00 on Saturday 17 October 2026, at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS on Level Two, Tower Two of the PETRONAS Twin Towers. Official event page
At a glance
- When: 20:00 on Saturday 17 October 2026, one performance only. The official page doesn't say how long it runs, or whether there's an interval
- Tickets: RM249 (C RESERVE), RM299 (B RESERVE), RM349 (A RESERVE) and RM399 (PREMIUM), plus suite seats at RM449 or RM499 each with light refreshments included. On top of the face value there's an RM5 fee per ticket and 3.5% per online transaction on all payment methods, and the page doesn't say whether that 3.5% is worked out on the face value or on the total after the RM5
- Who it's for: the orchestra describes the night as orchestral refinement blended with contemporary Malaysian music — you don't need to know classical music to sit through it
- Age limit: the orchestra states that children under 8 are not allowed in the concert hall unless otherwise indicated
- Dress: smart casual. The official page says no torn jeans, shorts, collarless t-shirts, sweatshirts, singlets, sports attire, slippers or flip-flops, at any time
- Where: Level Two, Tower Two of the PETRONAS Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, 50088 Kuala Lumpur. The box office counter is downstairs, on the ground floor of Tower Two
- Getting there: the Rapid KL Kelana Jaya LRT line to KLCC station (KJ10); driving, follow the signs marked Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS once you're in the KLCC basement car park, and the lifts go straight to the concert hall foyer; taxis and Grab drop you off at the Suria KLCC main entrance facing Jalan P. Ramlee. The official directions mention that line and nothing else. Venue location and contact page
- Buying: online on the orchestra's site, at the box office counter, by phone, or by email to boxoffice@dfp.com.my. The counter opens at 10:30, and the two official pages disagree on when it shuts on a concert night: the booking information says 20:30, the venue page says 21:00. If you're cutting it fine, or want to ask about remaining seats, the age limit or what the suite refreshments are, it is all one number: 03 2331 7007 (the booking information writes it as 603 2331 7007, which is the same line). Highlights
- One performance, and 920 seats in the hall: the seating plan for this concert in the official ticketing system holds 920 seats, 562 of them in the stalls and the rest spread across the circle, upper circle and the boxes down either side (checked 09:27 on 12 October 2026). The event page lists the prices only; for which price sits where, you need the official seating plan. The orchestra has switched off the display that shows how many seats are left, and doesn't publish the number anywhere. Single tickets went on sale at 12:00 on 6 October 2025 — more than a year before the concert
- The conductor says the brief was to push her out of her comfort zone: Ahmad Muriz Che Rose told Malay Mail that when we talk about Jaclyn Victor everyone already knows the strength and power of her voice, so for this concert he wanted to challenge her to step out of her comfort zone and do something unexpected. What the event page promises is fresh arrangements — the songs she has sung for twenty years, rewritten with a full orchestra behind them. That is the difference between this night and a tour date: what's on stage isn't a backing band, it's the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra
- Three turns on stage as a guest, and this time the whole evening is hers: Malay Mail's report of 22 September 2026, credited to Bernama at the bottom, calls this her first solo MPO concert in its headline. In the same report she says she has already worked with the MPO three times as a guest vocalist. When the papers say "first", they mean her first time fronting a whole evening, not her first time on stage with the orchestra. Nothing on the official event page, in the programme book or in the ticketing system says first or debut, and the only title she is given there is Malaysian Idol champion
- You'll hear opera, Wicked and Tunggu Sekejap — but the set list is the papers', not an official programme: the official write-up is prose from start to finish, while the classical nights in the same Season 2026 programme book list their repertoire piece by piece. The set list going around comes from the press — Malay Mail puts the concert at around 90 minutes and around 20 songs, with two Italian opera standards, O Mio Babbino Caro and Time to Say Goodbye; SAYS, on 25 September 2026, adds Defying Gravity from Wicked, along with Tunggu Sekejap, When I Fall In Love and Superwoman. The booking conditions separately state that the artistic programme — artists and repertoire included — is subject to change without notice, so treat that list as reporting, not as a printed programme
- The names down both sides of the seating plan are Malaysian instruments, dances and one kite: the official seating plan splits each side, TOWER TWO and TOWER ONE, into an L3 and an L2M tier, and prints 20 Malaysian names across them. The band follows the tier, not the side: the two L3 columns, one on each side, are SUITE 3M at RM449, and the two L2M columns are SUITE 2M at RM499. The names happen to split along the same line — the ten on L3 are all instruments, SAPEH, SERULING, SERUNAI, NAFIRI and GAMBUS on one side, REBAB, CANANG, ANGKLUNG, REBANA and GENDANG on the other; of the ten on L2M, six are dances, ULIK MAYANG, ZAPIN, INANG, ASYIK, KUDA KEPANG and SUMAZAU, and the remaining four are neither — BANGSAWAN is Malay opera, MENORA is a song-and-dance drama, WAU BULAN is a moon kite, and one more is called CINTA SAYANG. The ticketing system has a twenty-first, NOBAT, a royal ceremonial ensemble, which isn't drawn on the plan at all. Two practical things before you book: ZAPIN, INANG and WAU BULAN are greyed out on the plan (all three sit on L2M) and belong to none of the six bands in the legend; and the same band goes by two names, SUITE 3M on the seating plan and SUITE 3 in the ticketing system, so give the box office the section name rather than just the price
Tips
- Two promo codes, and they don't stack: MYKAD10 takes 10% off for MyKad holders and SENIOR15 takes 15% off for senior citizens. The event page asks you to enter the code at purchase with valid ID, and states that none of the discounts can be combined. At the prices in the official ticketing system at 09:24 on 12 October 2026, the lowest band, C RESERVE, comes to RM224.10 with MYKAD10 and RM211.65 with SENIOR15 — and neither of those includes the fees. Student tickets need a valid student ID and can only be bought at the box office counter; the orchestra doesn't publish how big that discount is
- A minimum of 3 concerts, and 20% comes off all of them: the event page states that the Local Concert package gives 20% off on a minimum purchase of 3 concerts. That line links to LOCALS PACKAGE 2026, which was on sale when the official ticketing system was checked at 09:26 on 12 October 2026, with a minimum of 3 concerts and a maximum of 9. This concert is tagged Locals on the official season page and in the programme book, but the orchestra doesn't publish which concerts the package covers, so check with the box office that this one counts before you build a package around it
- Turn up late and you wait outside: everything in this tip comes from the official booking information. Concerts at DFP begin promptly at the advertised starting time, and no latecomers are admitted until the interval or a suitable break in the programme — and whether this concert has an interval isn't published. Leave the hall mid-performance and the same applies: no re-entry until the next suitable break. If you need to buy or collect at the counter, it opens at 10:30; on the night, better early than late, because once it has started you don't get in
- No food, no drink, no recording inside: the same booking information says food and beverages aren't allowed in the concert hall, all forms of audio and visual recording are prohibited, and you'll need to switch off phones, watch alarms and other electronic devices before you go in. Smoking and vaping are prohibited in the hall. Bulky items, plastic bags, backpacks, large briefcases, luggage and umbrellas go in the lockers on Level 1, which are free and open from 30 minutes before the performance until 30 minutes after it ends
- A wheelchair user's ticket includes a complimentary companion ticket: the WHEELCHAIR USER note on the official event page says that a ticket purchased by a wheelchair user "includes a complimentary ticket for a companion". The venue also has a ramp to the foyer, a lift with low-level buttons, a designated wheelchair position in the stalls and an induction loop in the stalls for hearing aids on the T setting; the orchestra asks you to say so when you buy your tickets if you need any of that. To arrange it, call 03 2331 7007 or email contactus@dfp.com.my — not boxoffice@dfp.com.my, which is the address for buying tickets. Official event page

The hall is inside the PETRONAS Twin Towers, and with a 20:00 start it's easier to eat before you go in than to go looking afterwards. All three below are on HiGo's merchant listings, within 500 metres of the hall, rated 4.4 or better with at least 600 reviews. All three are on the Jalan Ampang side, which means walking out of the KLCC complex to reach any of them:

Check before you go
- Someone in your party under 8? Nothing has been indicated otherwise for this concert, so they won't get in — the opening the orchestra's wording leaves is "unless otherwise indicated"
- Paying with Atome? The orchestra states that tickets bought with Atome will be allowed entry only if there are no missed payments before the concert date; a missed or unfinished payment cancels the ticket and it won't get you in
- About to place the order? There are no refunds, all sales are final, and a reprint costs RM5 per ticket — so check the date, the headcount and your party's ages once more before you pay
- Booking a suite? "Light refreshments" is all it says, with nothing on what they are or where you have them. Get that one answered before you book
