A three-day family expo at MITEC: 8 activities need registering, 6 need a slot booked, 2–4 October 2026

The 63rd TCE Baby Expo, with the first TCE Kidz World alongside it: the organisers' activities page is headed 20 activities and lays out 17 entries. The crawling contest takes babies of 6 to 12 months only and runs on 2 October alone; the slime workshop is on all three days, 15 minutes a session. It runs 2–4 October 2026 at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur, 10:00–20:00 each day.

Official schedule: 2–4 October 2026. Dates are from the organiser's announcement. We cannot confirm that the event is running on any particular day.

Two shows under one roof. The Baby Expo side is the long-running pregnancy and baby gear fair. The Kidz World side is for the kids: the organisers have split it into four themed zones — Discovery & Learning, Kids Market, Creation & Role Play and Play & Adventure (TCE Kidz World site, venue calendar).

At a glance

  • Hours: Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October 2026, 10:00–20:00 every day

The same page says selected activities inside the Learn, Play & Explore Zone need a separate ticket; no price for those tickets has been published, and you can buy them online or at the show. Admission on the Baby Expo side is not spelt out on either organiser site. Organisers' FAQ

What to look for

  • The baby crawling contest is for babies aged 6 to 12 months only, on 2 October, 13:00–16:30: the organisers bill it as "Malaysia's Largest" baby crawling contest, which is their own marketing line — they have not published what that is measured against. The rules themselves are spelt out more clearly: the top babies are picked on the results of each round, and timing decides the final ranking. Contest page
  • The colouring contest is on 4 October, RM30 to enter, coloured pencils only: there are three categories — A for ages 5 to 6 at 12:15–13:15, B for ages 7 to 8 and C for ages 9 to 10, both at 10:30–12:00. Crayons, watercolours and other mediums are not accepted, and that's the rule that catches families out. The theme is "Imagine your dream and colour it your way!", and every participant gets a certificate. The organisers list cash prizes worth RM3,000 plus other prizes worth RM5,000, with 10 winners from each category: RM500 for first, RM300 for second, RM200 for third and consolation prizes for 4th to 10th. Contest page
  • Two brand challenges, one open to either parent and one for fathers only: the Philips Avent Pop Challenge is on 3 October, 16:00–18:30, open to a mama or papa with a baby aged 13 to 18 months; the papa breastpump challenge is on 4 October, 17:15–18:15, open to a papa with a mama who is 6 months pregnant or above. Prizes for both come from the brands, the organisers say. Philips Avent session
  • The Korora baby spa runs all three days, but only 5 places a day: the slot is 10:30–15:30 daily. There are conditions attached: the baby should be 6 to 12 months old, able to hold their head steadily, happy with tummy time and not yet walking; one parent or carer per baby, and that adult has to be able to sit comfortably on a floor mat for about 1 hour. Every baby taking part gets goodies worth RM70 or more, the organisers say. Activity page
  • The slime workshop is on all three days, 15 minutes a session, RM30: run by ER Slime; the organisers give the age range as 3 to 12 years. Workshop page
  • The organisers sort the activities by how you join: the page is headed 20 FUN ACTIVITIES FOR ALL and lays out 17 entries, with the buttons in three kinds — register first ("Register Now!") on 8 of them, book a slot ("Book Your Slot Now!") on 6, and turn up on the day ("Walk-in") on 3. • The celebrity and local brand zone, with 8 brands named: Numom by Nad Masrom, Once Upon by Syahirah Kasim, Superwoman by Sasha Abd Aziz, Fortyweeks Maternity, Supercube Tea, Brownskinbeautehq by Jaja Talib, Lafre by Inthira and Regis by Qiuwen. Brand zone page

Tips

  • Book the small sessions first: the baby spa has only 5 places a day, and for the Learn, Play & Explore Zone the organisers themselves advise booking early because some sessions may sell out
  • Work out what you'll actually spend: the organisers' own pages for the colouring contest and the slime workshop both put the fee at RM30; the organisers' activities page carries other paid activities at prices of their own, so go back to their site activity by activity before you set off
  • Pick your day around the nap: the named contests are at fixed times — crawling on the afternoon of 2 October, Philips Avent early evening on 3 October, colouring from mid-morning to midday on 4 October and the papa breastpump challenge that same evening

Somewhere to eat once you're done. These three are picked from the restaurants in HiGo's merchant listings within three kilometres of MITEC, rated 4.7 or above, with 200 reviews or more and a real photo on file — a wider circle than usual, so plan to drive or take an e-hailing ride:

Before you go

  • Going for one particular activity? The organisers' page sorts its entries into register first, book a slot, or turn up on the day — check on their site which of the three applies to yours before you set off
  • Working out the cost? What the organisers call free entry is admission to the TCE Kidz World Expo side; selected activities in the Learn, Play & Explore Zone need a separate ticket whose price has not been published, and the organisers have not spelt out admission on the Baby Expo side on either of their websites. Budget as though you'll be buying tickets
  • Bringing a baby of 6 to 12 months? The crawling contest is on 2 October only, 13:00–16:30, and the spa has just 5 places on each of the three days, so between them they decide which day you go
