Nothing Phone (4b) at RM1,499 and Ear (3a) at RM399 in Malaysia: the official store button still says “Pre-order” (20 September 2026)

Ordering online? The shipping line on both pages reads pre-order, 14 working days. Rather buy it in a shop? The on-sale date and the shop names come from the media, not from Nothing's own product pages.

Nothing launched two things in Malaysia at once: a phone at RM1,499 and a pair of earbuds at RM399. On Nothing's own store, though, the button still reads pre-order.

On the afternoon of 20 September 2026, the Phone (4b) page on Nothing's Malaysian store showed MYR 1,499 as the price, with MYR 1,599 struck through beside it, and the Ear (3a) page showed MYR 399. Both pages carried a “Pre-order Now” button and a shipping line reading “Pre-order 14 working days”. Phone (4b) product page · Ear (3a) product page

Local media told a different story: SoyaCincau on 10 September 2026 and Lowyat.NET on 20 September 2026 both reported the Phone (4b) at RM1,599 with an early-bird price of RM1,499 running to 20 October 2026, and shops stocking it from 20 September 2026. SoyaCincau · Lowyat.NET Neither official product page gave an on-sale date or a list of shops.

What stands out

  • One configuration only: 8+128GB. No other storage size is listed. The colours are White, Black and Blue, and the variant name also mentions a Foldable Backpack and a Phone Wrist Strap bundled with the phone.
  • A 5,200 mAh battery, and 50% in under 30 minutes. The page quotes 46 hours of calls, 34 hours of music and up to 22 hours of video streaming, and Nothing calls this its longest-lasting phone yet. But read the footnote: the 6,000 mAh version is for India, and the Malaysian unit has 5,200 mAh.
  • A 6.77in Super AMOLED with a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. 1200 nits outdoors, up to 2000 nits peak, Dragontrail Pro glass. The chip is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 running up to 2.3 GHz, with 120 fps gaming, a touch sampling rate of up to 1000 Hz and a 4,400 mm² cooling system.
  • A 50 MP main lens with optical image stabilisation, plus a 119° ultra-wide. The front camera is 16 MP and video tops out at 4K 30 FPS. Nothing puts “50 MP main camera + 4K video” right at the top of the page.
  • IP64, rated against dust and water for up to 20 minutes, and 210 g on the scales. Nothing says the new unibody resists bending better than its previous models. The software is Nothing OS 4.1 on Android 16, with 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches, counted from the day the phone first became available on nothing.tech.
  • Ear (3a) at RM399: a 12 mm driver, bigger than the one in Ear (a), with bass up to 5 dB louder than Ear (a) by Nothing's own account. Up to 42 hours with AAC, noise cancelling off and the charging case included; active noise cancellation that Nothing puts at up to 45 dB wideband, with a footnote calling that a laboratory maximum; Bluetooth 6.0; IP54; and pinching both buds at once records a clip with Audio Snapshot.

What only the media has said

The on-sale date, the shop names and the marketplaces — Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop — were on neither official product page. Everything below comes from the media, attributed report by report:

  • SoyaCincau's report of 10 September 2026 put the Phone (4b) at RM1,599 with an early-bird price of RM1,499, RM100 cheaper, running from 8 September 2026 to 20 October 2026. The same report said the phone could be pre-ordered or bought on Nothing's Malaysian site, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, without giving a date or time for pre-orders opening, that shops would have it from 20 September 2026, including Nothing Image Store, TMT and Urban Republic, and that buyers would get a Nothing Foldable Backpack and a Phone Wrist Strap while stocks last. SoyaCincau
  • Lowyat.NET's report of 20 September 2026 ran under the headline “Nothing Phone (4b), Ear (3a) Now Officially Available In Malaysia” and listed the Phone (4b) at RM1,599, an early-bird price of RM1,499 running to 20 October 2026, the Ear (3a) at RM399 and both available in shops from 20 September 2026, through channels including Nothing's own site, Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Nothing Image Store, TMT and Urban Republic. Its wording: “Early birds can get the Phone (4b) at a cheaper price of RM1,499, plus a free Nothing Foldable Backpack and Nothing Phone Wrist Strap. This offer will run until 20 October 2026 and is subject to stock availability.” Lowyat.NET

Where to buy

  • The official store: the Phone (4b) product page and the Ear (3a) product page. my.nothing.tech is Nothing's Malaysian shop: the store picker at the foot of the page is set to Malaysia, and that entry in the country list reads Malaysia, English and MYR.
  • Shops and marketplaces: the official product pages carry no list of shops, and no Shopee, Lazada or TikTok Shop links. The media's list is in the section above.

Before you order

  • If you are after the RM1,499 price: the official page gave no end date for it, while the media put it at 20 October 2026.
  • If you order from the store: the button reads “Pre-order Now” and shipping is given as 14 working days.
  • If you would rather pick one up in a shop: the date of 20 September 2026 and the names Nothing Image Store, TMT and Urban Republic appear only in the media reports, not on the official product pages.
  • If you are reading reviews from India: that unit has 6,000 mAh and the Malaysian one has 5,200 mAh, so the battery figures do not carry over.
