Perodua Aruz price: four regions, four prices — from RM68,900 on the peninsula, RM70,900 in East Malaysia and Labuan, RM69,200 in Langkawi (18 September 2026)

Perodua's price and specification list splits Malaysia into four regions and gives each one its own figure: the same 1.5 X costs RM2,000 more in East Malaysia and Labuan than on the peninsula, and RM300 more in Langkawi. The AV carries exactly the same two gaps.

When you're budgeting for a seven-seater, you probably have one figure in mind. With the Perodua Aruz, the price you see depends on where in Malaysia you're buying it.

On 18 September 2026 the price shown on Perodua's Aruz model page reads “Price starting from RM68,900.00”; in Perodua's price and specification list (the PRICE & SPECIFICATION section of the Aruz model page), the Aruz 1.5 X is RM68,900 on the peninsula, RM70,900 in East Malaysia and Labuan, and RM69,200 in Langkawi. The model page gives one figure, and it matches the peninsular figure in the price list. The 1.5 AV is listed separately in the same list, from RM73,900 on the peninsula.

What stands out

  • The RM68,900 on the site is the 1.5 X on the peninsula. On the Aruz model page on 18 September 2026 the price shown reads “Price starting from RM68,900.00”, and the model navigation on the site lists the Aruz at “from RM68,900”.
  • The same price list gives Malaysia four regional prices. The four region labels are Peninsular Malaysia, East Malaysia, Labuan and Langkawi. East Malaysia and Labuan are RM2,000 more than the peninsula and Langkawi RM300 more — the same two gaps on the 1.5 X and on the 1.5 AV.
  • The AV is RM5,000 more than the X, in all four regions. What the money buys is set out line by line in the specification table: front fog lamps, headlamps auto-on, a roof rail, Advanced Safety Assist (A.S.A) 2.0 and an integrated driving video recorder all read “With” on the AV and “Without” on the X; the seat material is leather on the AV and fabric on the X; and the kerb weight is 1,310 kg on the AV against 1,300 kg on the X.
  • Of the seven models carrying a starting price in the site's model navigation, only the Traz sits above the Aruz. Those seven are Axia from RM22,000, Bezza from RM34,580, Myvi from RM46,500, Ativa from RM62,500, Alza from RM62,500, Aruz from RM68,900 and Traz from RM76,100. The navigation gives one starting price per model and does not say which region it is for. The same drop-down also carries a separate QV-E tile linking to Perodua's electric vehicle site, with no starting price printed on it — so the QV-E is not in that ranking.
  • Room for a family's luggage. The specification table gives luggage capacity of 213 litres, or 514 litres with the third-row seat down; seven seats; 220 mm of ground clearance; fuel consumption of 15.6 km/l with the “Eco Idle” system; and a 4 E-AT automatic gearbox.
  • The Alza 1.5L X is RM6,400 less than the Aruz 1.5 X on the peninsula. The same price list gives the Alza 1.5L X at RM62,500 on the peninsula. Both seat seven; Perodua lists the Alza under MPV and the Aruz under SUV.

What the Aruz costs in Malaysia: one model, four regional prices

The figures below come from that price list, as it stood on 18 September 2026. Both versions are automatics (4 E-AT).

  • Aruz 1.5 X: peninsula RM68,900; East Malaysia RM70,900; Labuan RM70,900; Langkawi RM69,200.
  • Aruz 1.5 AV: peninsula RM73,900; East Malaysia RM75,900; Labuan RM75,900; Langkawi RM74,200.
  • East Malaysia and Labuan: RM2,000 more than the peninsula on both versions.
  • Langkawi: RM300 more than the peninsula on both versions.
  • The gap between AV and X: RM5,000, in all four regions.

Neither the Aruz model page nor the price list says when this price took effect or how long it is valid. Neither carries a note beside the price on whether insurance, road tax and registration are included. Perodua's Aruz brochure PDF carries no prices at all.

The questions you'll ask first

  • Why are East Malaysia, Labuan and Langkawi different? The price list gives one figure per region, with no reason stated on the page. The gaps are flat: RM2,000 more than the peninsula in East Malaysia and Labuan, RM300 more in Langkawi.
  • Does colour change the price? The price list does not price the Aruz by colour. It splits the Aruz by region and by version only — two rows in all — and in that same list it is the Ativa rows that carry Metallic and Special Metallic in the model name. To be sure, ask at the branch.
  • What separates the X from the AV? RM5,000, and 13 of the 58 entries in the Aruz specification table (one of those 13 is the “Engine type” line, which differs by a single space — “2 NR-VE” on the X, “2NR-VE” on the AV — so it is the same engine). Front fog lamps, headlamps auto-on, roof rail, A.S.A 2.0 and the integrated driving video recorder read “With” on the AV and “Without” on the X; seat material is leather against fabric; the shift bezel leather against urethane; the meter ring chrome against painted; the audio is a “Multimedia system with navigation, 'Smart Link' (for Android) and HDMI” against a “Digital audio system with bluetooth, USB, MP3 and resistive touch panel”; the bumpers a “Silver painted diffuser” against a “Material color diffuser”; the front grille “Black chrome and glossy black finish” against “Chrome and glossy black finish”; and the kerb weight 1,310 kg on the AV against 1,300 kg on the X. The other 45 entries read the same on both, including the 4,435/1,695/1,740 mm body, the 2,685 mm wheelbase, the 220 mm ground clearance and the 1,496 cc engine.
  • Does the price include insurance and road tax? How long is the wait for delivery? Neither the Aruz model page nor the price list says anything beside the price about those items, or about delivery. You can work out the monthly instalments yourself on Perodua's loan calculator.

What the news reports say, but Perodua's site doesn't

None of the following is on the Aruz model page or in the price list as they stood on 18 September 2026; it appears in local motoring reports:

  • paultan.org, 17 September 2026: the Aruz is RM4,000 cheaper across the range, at RM68,900 for the X and RM73,900 for the AV, and this is the first price change in the Aruz's seven years. paultan.org
  • The same paultan.org report also says: a Malaysia Day rebate of RM4,000, 15 September – 31 October 2026, would take the 1.5 X to RM64,900 and the 1.5 AV to RM69,900. Those two figures are the peninsular prices less RM4,000 each; the report does not say what East Malaysia, Labuan and Langkawi come to after the rebate.
  • Zigwheels.my, 17 September 2026: the same cut — RM4,000 across the range, RM68,900 for the X and RM73,900 for the AV — plus rebates of up to RM9,500 on the Ativa (to 31 October 2026) and RM10,000 on the QV-E. Zigwheels.my

Where to buy

Before you sign

  • On 18 September 2026 the site listed the 1.5 X from RM68,900 on the peninsula; the same car is RM70,900 in East Malaysia or Labuan and RM69,200 in Langkawi.
  • If you want the AV, budget another RM5,000: RM73,900 on the peninsula, RM75,900 in East Malaysia and Labuan, RM74,200 in Langkawi.
  • If you are budgeting on a rebated price you read about, note that the figure is not on the Aruz model page or in the price list, and the reports give the rebated price for the peninsula only: work it out at your own region's listed price first, then ask the branch.
