vivo X500 series from RM4,699: what sets the three apart
At the same capacity the Pro costs RM1,000 more and the Pro Max RM1,400 more; telephoto kits are extra, from RM999.

If a headline says “from RM4,699”, don't assume all three phones cost that.
All three vivo X500 phones are now listed on vivo Malaysia's official store: the X500 12GB+256GB at RM4,699, the X500 Pro at RM5,699 and the X500 Pro Max at RM6,099 in the same capacity. vivo Malaysia's official store

What it means for you
At 12GB+256GB the Pro costs RM1,000 more than the X500, and the Pro Max RM1,400 more. Which one to buy? For most people the X500 is enough. The Pro's extra RM1,000 is worth it if most phones feel too big in your hand. Go for the Pro Max only if you often shoot distant subjects and don't mind the weight.
Key specs at a glance:
- X500: Dimensity 9600M chip, 6.59in display (2750 × 1260), 7500mAh battery, 50+50+64MP rear cameras (main f/1.68), 211g (Gray, White) or 213g (Black), 256GB or 512GB.
- X500 Pro: Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, 6.36in display (2660 × 1216), 6510mAh battery, 50+50+64MP rear cameras (main f/1.57), 197g, 256GB only.
- X500 Pro Max: Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, 6.85in display (3168 × 1440), 7800mAh battery, 50+50+200MP rear cameras (main f/1.57), 225g (Black) or 229g (Gray, Orange), 256GB or 512GB.
The Pro's extra RM1,000 buys a smaller body, a different chip and a wider main aperture (f/1.57 against f/1.68). The body is 6.36in and 197g, against the X500's 6.59in and 211g in Gray and White; the chip is the Dimensity 9600 Pro instead of the X500's 9600M. The trade-offs are just as plain: the battery drops from 7500mAh to 6510mAh, and the Pro comes in 256GB only, with no 512GB to move up to. What the Pro offers is a phone you can use one-handed — the rear cameras are the same 50+50+64MP set as the X500's.
The Pro Max's RM1,400 buys two upgrades: a 200MP telephoto instead of 64MP, and a 3168 × 1440 display instead of 2750 × 1260. Neither upgrade is available on the other two. The catch is weight: even the lightest Pro Max, in black, is 225g.
All three charge the same way, 90W FlashCharge plus 40W wireless FlashCharge. A higher price does not mean a bigger battery. The X500's 7500mAh is larger than the Pro's 6510mAh, and the Pro Max's 7800mAh is the biggest.

The RM9,699 Photographer Kit in that list is a gift box: vivo's image shows a Pro Max alongside a tray of accessories. The product page does not say what is in the tray.
Telephoto kits are bought separately. The 200mm Gen 2 has its own listing for each of the X500, the Pro and the Pro Max, at RM999 each. The 400mm Gen 2 Ultra, listed for the X500 Pro Max, is RM1,599, and the Imaging Grip Kit is RM799. A Pro Max 256GB with the 400mm kit and the grip comes to RM8,497 — RM2,398 more than the phone on its own.
You order through the vivo official store at shop.vivo.com/my. Orders, payment and delivery are handled by the store's WhatsApp support, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, excluding public holidays.
